Ogmore Castle constructed in the early 12th century stands on the bank of the Ewenny River which more often than not provides almost mirror like reflections. It has previously been used as a court of justice and a prison but has stood in ruin since the 19th century. The stepping stones are a firm favourite with the kids but have seen many people go home altogether damper than they arrived. The Ewenny River flows onwards to the coast at Ogmore-By-Sea another fantastic place to stretch the legs.
